Primate Asturias was born out of a love for movement, community, and the stunning outdoors of northern Spain. After years of playing sports and overcoming a life-changing injury, I realised how important it is to train with purpose and joy. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to help others build strength, stay active, and enjoy every step of the journey.
Whether you’re an athlete pushing your limits, an older adult striving to stay mobile, or a young professional juggling fitness with a busy schedule, I believe there’s a way to make training work for you. The name "Primate" is a nod to our shared roots with nature and a reminder that movement is in our DNA. It’s about getting back to basics: simple, effective, functional training that works with your body, not against it.
Meet the Trainer
I’m Ruaridhi (or “Rury” for short). Rugby has been my passion for over 20 years, and it’s shaped my approach to training. After facing a serious injury, I turned to functional training techniques to rebuild my strength and confidence. Now, I use that experience to help my clients do the same—whether that means regaining mobility, improving athletic performance, or simply feeling better in their daily lives.
